Dr Attam Singh is a Consultant in Pain Medicine with extensive experience in both the assessment and treatment of pain conditions. He specialises in musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain, providing a personalised and holistic approach to care, including interventional procedures when necessary. Dr Singh uses targeted nerve techniques under ultrasound guidance to promote a speedy recovery for his patients.
He has worked with patients suffering from a range of conditions including neck and back pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, head and facial pain, and widespread pain issues such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). He also has expertise in the use of medicinal cannabis and lidocaine infusions for managing pain.
In addition to his private practice, Dr Singh holds key positions within the NHS. He is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at the award-winning Hip Fracture Unit in West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where he developed a nationally recognised pathway for treating painful hip fractures. He also leads the Acute Pain team at Watford General Hospital. Dr Singh’s professional contributions have been recognised with awards such as the Clinical Excellence Award for Care and Compassion (2013) and the Health Service Journal Award for Patient Safety (2014).
Dr Singh has trained extensively in the UK and the USA, including a prestigious fellowship at the University of Michigan, where he taught and demonstrated advanced pain management techniques. He continues to contribute to medical education and research, particularly in the area of neuromodulation for the treatment of neuropathy.
